About us

AIM CROIT (Association internationale des machinistes et des travailleurs et travailleuses de l’aérospatiale – centre de réadaptation, d’orientation et d’intégration au travail) is a non-profit organization sponsored by the International Association of Machinists and Laborers Aerospace (IAMAW) and funded by the Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale. 

For 30 years, AIM CROIT has facilitated the job search process for thousands of people living with various limitations.

We offer employment assistance services to residents in the Montreal area who live with a physical, sensory or neurological disability.

We have established a large bank of employer’s and regularly receive countless, interesting job offers for workers with disabilities.

Over the years, our work has been recognized with the following accolades:

2014

Prix May Polsky was posthumously created by YES Montreal in memory of our founding mother and director, Ms. Polsky (1989-2014), an activist for the employment of people living with disabilities.

This award is presented annually to applicants who have made outstanding contributions to English-language employment services. 

2013

Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal awarded to Ms. May Polsky, director of the organization.

This medal honors the people who have exuded a tremendous amount of generosity, dedication and achievement for the benefit of their fellow citizens, their community and their country.

2012

Greater Laurentian Medal awarded to AIM CROIT by the Saint-Laurent Borough.

This medal recognizes the exceptional contribution of the organization to the well-being of fellow citizens and to the development of the community in Saint-Laurent.

1996

Nominated among the three centers recognized for their expertise in assisting clients living with disabilities, our organization was presented this award to highlight our achievements in the specialized services tailored to our clientele.

Our services were highlighted in the memoir of l’Ordre professionnel des conseillers et conseillères d’orientation du Québec intitulé Une orientation adéquate : un préalable au parcours vers l’insertion, la formation et l’emploi,which was presented at la Commission des affaires sociales dans le cadre de la consultation publique sur la réforme de la sécurité du revenu.

1990

Excellence in Special Needs Employment Award presented to AIM CROIT by the Canadian Mental Health Association.

This award was presented to our organization in recognition of our success in assisting people living with disabilities, who have difficulty integrating and maintaining employment.
